Based just outside the historic town of Bury St Edmunds, our offices overlook Suffolk’s celebrated countryside. We love our location and so do our clients. With plenty of parking and 1/4 mile from the A14 we are very easy to reach.
Our objective is to provide a range of accounting tax advice and payroll services that are readily accessible. To help us to achieve this we have installed secure computer systems capable of providing a remote computer link to our clients. No need for emergency visits, backups in the post, we can provide help and solutions without frustrating delays.
Sounds idyllic but we think we have got it right. Great location and great communications. We have invested in our computer systems to make sure, whether our client is in Culford or Cairo (we have clients in both), we can link up and update or review accounting systems from our office in real time.
This instant access enables us to sort out problems, extract management information and even to maintain accounting records from our Bury St Edmunds office.

Nick Roberts
FCCA/ACA
Nick is our longest serving partner. Nick trained with Pannell Kerr Forster’s London office, specialising in business and corporate advisory services, before leaving to join Hodson Lewis in 1995. His expertise includes dealing with all aspect of groups of companies, raising business finance and all general business tax advice. Nick has spent a number of years advising clients operating in the healthcare industry including acquisitions, disposals, profit improvement and general business and tax advice.
Nick lives near Ipswich with his wife Ally. His interests include cycling, sailing and hurling himself down snowy mountains on skis. He is also a season ticket holder at Ipswich Town FC.

Maggie Wearing

Maggie is our second partner and joined the firm in 2001. Maggie trained and worked, for a number of years, for a variety of local accountancy practices, and has gained broad experience of solving the problems facing small and medium sized businesses today. Maggie deals with all aspects of personal and business tax and particularly enjoys assisting personal clients with their tax returns. Maggie also has expertise in limited company accounts preparation, company formations, and restructuring groups of companies.
Maggie lives near Bury St Edmunds with her husband Paul and their Bedlington Terrier called Perdy. When she is not walking Perdy, her interests include holidays in Cornwall, socialising with friends, and shopping.
